Our Philosophy
Returning to How Nature Designed Wellbeing
Humans evolved alongside aromatic plants for millions of years. Pine forests, citrus groves, and flowering meadows provided chemical compounds that supported survival, reproduction, and healing. Our brains are literally wired to respond to plant chemistry - it’s not “alternative” medicine, it’s ancestral biology.
Aromatherapy isn’t creating a new intervention; it’s returning to how nature designed human wellbeing to work. When you inhale lavender, you’re not taking medicine - you’re experiencing what your nervous system expects and recognizes. Your brain’s olfactory system connects directly to the limbic system (emotional brain), bypassing cognitive filters.
A linalool molecule from lavender reaches your amygdala in a short span, initiating relaxation before your conscious mind even processes the scent. This is why aromatherapy feels different from other wellness interventions. There’s no learning curve, no behaviour modification required, no cultural barrier. Our current company has been operating for over 15 years - with sister concerns that have been active for more than 30, giving us one of the deepest institutional knowledge bases in the Indian fragrance industry.

The Process
Hand-Blended in Small Batches
Our master blender works with individual oils measured to 0.1ml precision. No automated systems - automation loses the subtle optimization that creates excellence.
Raw Oil Testing
Each oil is tested for potency and purity before blending. Batch variation in raw oils - due to climate, harvest timing, and regional factors - requires real-time assessment and ratio adjustment.
Precision Combining
Oils are combined in precise ratios in glass vessels (metal reacts with essential oils). The difference between a mediocre and excellent blend is 2–3% in individual component ratios.
72-Hour Marriage
Blends are left to chemically integrate for 72 hours before final QA. This “marriage” period allows aromatic compounds to stabilize and reach their optimal synergistic profile.
Sensory Verification
The final scent profile is verified against reference standards by our master blender. Only approved batches move to packaging. Any off-spec batch is reformulated - never released.
Hand-blending is 3–4× more expensive than automated production, but yields superior, consistent results where therapeutic compounds are demonstrably preserved.
From Farm to Bottle
Ethical Sourcing & Extraction
Every LWA product is formulated using 100% natural ingredients, sourced from carefully selected farms known for producing some of the world’s finest essential oils. We partner directly with certified sustainable growers - ensuring full traceability and above-commodity rates that support farmer welfare - and process across our own manufacturing facilities in India.
Cold-Pressing
For citrus oils - Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Bergamot
Raw citrus peel is mechanically pressed without heat, preserving delicate ingredients and other volatile therapeutic compounds. Each batch takes 2–3 hours of pressing. The result: bright, fresh aroma with a full therapeutic profile. Shelf stability: 18+ months in proper storage.
Steam Distillation
For herbs, flowers & wood - Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Chamomile, Eucalyptus
Plant material is exposed to steam at precisely controlled temperatures (60–120°C). Steam carries aromatic molecules, which condense when cooled. The process takes 4–24 hours depending on material. No solvent residues - important for inhalation safety.
Traceability
We know the specific farms, harvest dates, and growing conditions for every batch.
